Hubungan Gratitude dengan Homesickness Santri Baru Pondok Pesantren

Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude and homesickness in new students of Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a correlative quantitative approach. The scale used is the gratitude scale adapted from Listiandini, et al (2015) and the homesickness scale adapted from Yasmin (2018). Data analysis using product moment correlation. The sample in this study was 130 new students in three Islamic boarding schools in Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The results of the hypothesis test show a correlation coefficient of -0.444 with a significance level of p = 0.000 which indicates a relationship between gratitude and homesickness in new students of Islamic boarding schools in Agam Regency, West Sumatra. This research can also be a reference for the Islamic boarding school to increase and develop gratitude, especially for new students in an effort to reduce homesickness through training and learning.
