Abstract

This study discusses the Role of Self-Efficacy on Academic Procrastination of High School X Bukittinggi Students during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Student self-efficacy is also one of the factors that affect student academic procrastination during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational descriptive approach which aims to find out how big the role of self-efficacy in the academic procrastination of SMA X Bukittinggi students during the covid-19 pandemic. The data measuring instrument uses ascale Likert consisting of a self-efficacy scale and an academic procrastination scale. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 16.0 for windows. Based on the research results obtained r of 21.160 with p of 0.000 <0.05. There is a significant effect of self-efficacy on academic procrastination of 12.2% and 87.8% is determined by other factors such as motivation, personality type and self-regulation. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination of SMA X Bukittinggi students during the Covid-19 pandemic.
